• that's right! it's the 5th annual meat extravaganza and musical showcase known as SLEIZURE - BQ! this event showcases some wonderful talent to satisfy your ears, while our chefs serve you extraordinary pieces of meat to excite your tastebuds! this all goes down in convocation mall at SFU for everyone to enjoy FREE from 10pm - 6am, while we broadcast over Vancouver's airwaves on 90.1FM, Channel 796 on Telus HiDef, and Www.SLEIZURE.CA on the internet. this event has grown in many ways throughout the years and is a celebration of sleizure's long standing commitment to bringing you different sounds each week, and also a goodbye party of sorts. we'll have bbq's on site, prizes, and games for those who wish to participate not to mention our wonderful lineup may i introduce - force feeding you: GENE ERIC (sleizure) - hard acid poundings introducing a swagger in your step: LOVESNOT (gorfbeat) - metallicalifragilisticexpialidocious keeping it gangsta: VINCENT PARKER (vancouver) *LIVE* - electro*crunk all the way from the midwest: ASS MAGIC JOHNSON (milwaukee, wi) - booty house bringing the intensity: NoCore (vancouver) *LIVE* - rhythmic power noise getting evil: KAGLAR OMEGA (addictech, k.o.) *LIVE* - industrial/idm/dubstep everythings melting: JUICEBOX (vancouver) - psychaedelic trance plucking things from the meat bucket: MODEMGIRL (gorfbeat) - psychadelic tekno bringing you back down: KUMA (fwdsnd, art of beatz radio, tkg) - dubstep/ambient sweeping up the leftovers: COLONEL SLANDERS (gorfbeat) - freetekno / tribe all being output through the woofers of the gorfbeat soundsystem. we've gone through great pains to arrange for ALL of your senses to be utilized at this event, so what better to top off the evening with a visuals provided by RIM! transportation is easy getting up the hill by skytrain and bus, and when we're done, there's even a bus to get you back down! costumes are encouraged, if you've got something you wish to bbq, fry, or blowtorch up, bring it! this years theme is the TWIN TOWERS OF MEAT, so use your imagination and use it well.
